Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 LAST GASP TIME! Yeah, it's time to give some of these old, tired dogs one last chance to sell on this site. They've had their chances, but just like baseball, this is their third strike, possibly. If it whiffs this time, it's outta here! I've slashed the prices to the same method I use on Sundays and (alternate) Tuesdays, so if you don't get'em now, These are GONE! Enjoy, have fun, ignore, whatever, as long as someone out there feels adventureous/Greetings everyone, and welcome to another of my ebay record listings. Glad to have you here, and I hope you will enjoy your stay and perhaps like what you see, perhaps enough to have a desire to have it for your own! Hard to believe I’ve been doing this for just about 10 years now-I know my older listings say 8, but yep, I got started about 10 years ago now, and just don’t feel like giving up. So, thanks to all my previous customers, your business is always appreciated, and I do appreciate your taking a look at what I have for you. Now, on with the show. This time up, I have a 2000 7” 45rpm release on the Acid Rain record label, label #AC0022, by Spragga Benz. This is the single of “U Supposed 2 Know” one side the “clean” version, the other, just lets it rip. This is the second of 2 45s I picked up from my boss’ last record auction, and I got them because I didn’t know the artists, and also because of the neato purple swirly vinyl. I’d heard of Spragga Benz a little though, but I’d never listened to him until today. These two tunes are pretty basic and sparse musically, basically the music is a drum machine and keyboard, along with a lot of dancehall vocals. These sound more than slightly tribal to be honest, but not in a bad way. Unlike so many dancehall reggae discs, the vocals are almost chanted, continuously, but with a great sense of rhythm to them, and not like the guttural gravely voices that seemed to be everywhere. It’s got a great sound and is still quite danceable. And honestly, the non-“clean” side? I had a hard time understanding a lot of it, the dialect was pretty thick, so I couldn’t tell where the naughty bits were. The playing surface shows a few needle marks, but these did not prevent either side from playing through. There was a little crackling now and then, probably due to the quality of the vinyl, but it’s still good enough to get my average grading of E overall. That’s my grading though, and my grading is considered non-standard. If you are considering placing a bid, please read the paragraph that follows this one, as it will show you the gradings and their respective descriptions. It won’t take long to read, please do. The labels are still in nice shape, though the text on the floral background doesn’t exactly make the text very easy to read. If you need more pictures or description, I can and will be happy to provide. If you have any comments or questions, please send them to me, and I will reply as soon as possible.
