These auctions were intended to be listed in July, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I've had to wait until now to list them. So, this week's " deal of the week" is 2 records for the opening bid of $9.99. Plus, for US bidders, each additional auction is only .50 more. So, take advantage of the shipping discount by bidding on (and winning) more than 1 auction. There is a pretty diverse selection, so look through everything to see what I have listed. I also have a few rare "Buy It Now" items listed, as well. My grading scale: NM, NM-, EX+, EX, EX-, VG+, VG, VG-, Fair, Poor. So adjust your scale accordingly. This auction consists of the following:Burzum-Daudi Baldrs LP on Back On Black Records (BOBV020LP).As stated in the box above, this is a copy of the first Back On Black reissue from 2005. As some people know, the label was using a pressing plant that made poor quality pressings of many of the labels early releases (I had some early Gorgoroth reissues, and they were the same way), which almost caused BOB to go under. Nowadays, they release top quality pressings, most on 180 gram vinyl, and many are colored. But, this is from those early days. Even though I bought this new and sealed, and have only played it 3 or 4 times, due to the poor quality of the press, it sounds like I have played it more often. The defects I will describe were there when I opened it and played it from brand new. I have tried to clean it, hoping to remove some of the pops, but they appear to be in the press. Please note that all of this applies to the "Hlidskjalf" LP, as well. Comes with an insert. Vinyl is borderline VG/VG-. As already stated, these were poor quality pressings, and only played 3 or 4 times. There are some scuffs, some ticks, snaps, some occasional pops, and overall mild to moderate surface noise, depending on what part of the record you're on. There's also a small stain between tracks 1 and 2 on Side 1. It appears to be in the press. I tried to clean it off, but it's in there. It causes a scratchy/static-type sound to be heard for several revolutions. No skips on my turntable. Has mild warpage, typical of vinyl.Jacket is NM- with creasing in the upper right corner from the shrink wrap being too tight when I bought it new.Insert is EX+ with some creases from handling, bumped corners, and light ring impression. Burzum-Hlidskjalf LP on Back On Black Records (BOBV021LP). Ditto everything in the underlined paragraph above. Vinyl is borderline VG/VG-. Plays almost the same as "Daudi Baldrs", with most of the same issues, except there is no stain in the press like the spot on "Daudi Baldrs. Has mild warpage, typical of vinyl. Jacket is NM- with a small crease in the lower left corner, and a couple of very small creases along the side spine. There's a spot in the upper right corner along the opening that is a small printing flaw. Insert is EX+ with some light creases from handling, and light ring impression. Check out my other items, and save on shipping costs. Also, add me to your favorites list.
